Labex ICCA

The ICCA Laboratory of Excellence (Cultural Industries and Artistic Creation) is an interdisciplinary research laboratory focused on the practices and markets of culture, art and leisure. Created in 2011, ICCA’s main objectives are to define new economic and regulatory models, study new uses and emerging markets and transform legal frameworks, both in traditional sectors and in the digital world. ICCA brings together teams from several universities in different disciplines (sociology, economics, law, communication, educational sciences, design). ICCA is also a forum for dialogue with professional organizations and industrial actors in the cultural and arts sectors. ICCA is a research program funded by the “Future Investment” program.

Maison Populaire de Montreuil

The Maison populaire de Montreuil is a popular education association welcoming each season more than 2,300 members, who participate in the hundred or so expression workshops developed for adults and children.
It encourages these amateur practices, by enhancing them through scenic expression and demonstrations throughout the year while creating an encounter with the professional artists in residence.

The actions it proposes in the fields of visual arts, digital arts, music, philosophy, human sciences, come here to cross audiences to arouse curiosity, encourage exchange and create encounters. It invites us to think together about these actions in a transversal way and in a perpetual movement through artistic residencies of creations, which create this necessary link and promote access to culture and leisure for all the population invited to be an actor in the very process of these actions.

The Maison populaire joins forces with other actors in the region with the same objectives. In this sense, it actively collaborates with partners at the local level and in various networks such as Tram, the Paris/Ile-de-France contemporary art network, Parcours Est, the 93 contemporary art network, the MAAD 93 Seine-Saint-Denis Amplified Current Music Development Network, and the RAN, the digital arts network.
